Sodexo currently has a job opening for a Food Service Manager 2 to join our team with Wheaton Franciscan Health Care in Franklin. This management level position will report directly to the General Manager and will have oversight and responsibility for day to day food service operations for a 58 plus bed hospital that is continuing to expand. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in a healthcare setting. This Food Service Manager position will focus on excellent food quality, controlling food costs and implementing and maintaining food service programs. Knowledge of Sodexo systems and procedures and At Your Request (AYR) patient meal services is preferred, but is not required. The selected candidate will work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening and weekend shifts.
Food Service Manager Job Responsibilities Include:
Managing 20 food service employees including production, catering, retail and AYR.
Responsible for all food safety and sanitation regulatory compliance including food safety audits, temperature logs and portion tracking documentation.
Oversees implementation and success of food service operational initiatives at the account.
Will oversee the entire operation in the absence of the General Manager.
Accountable for client and customer satisfaction with food service.
Responsible for growing relationships with key client contacts as well as collaborating with the client and Sodexo management team on achieving annual operational projects and goals.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards at all levels.
Ensures compliance to Sodexo operating policies and procedures and works to maintain those standards.

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/Human Resources (HR) functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
