BASIC FUNCTIONS : Accountable for planning, installation, deployment, provisioning, coordination, communication, documentation and support of the systems infrastructure, hardware and software in order to support business applications. Deliver services by meeting the strategic objectives of the organization including service management, risk management, and project delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum 3 years experience in Systems Administration. Experience should include: Service Management (ITIL), Developing and documenting scripts, knowledge of engineering standards and best practices, and developing estimates for support or projects. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IS areas, and clients in other departments. Exposure to project management methodologies preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This system administrator position will assist in providing operational support of the UNIX server environment. Team members on the UNIX server team configure, maintain and support UNIX-based servers to company standards. Specific duties include server installation, patching and OS updates, incident and problem resolution and fulfillment of service requests. Team members may also work on project assignments in collaboration with engineering teams. This position involves being a member of an on call rotation providing 24/7 support. Successful candidates will have strong communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and proven ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure support teams.
Required skills includes prior experience with one or more of the following operating systems: AIX, HP-UX, Red Hat Linux as well as Korn Shell scripting knowledge.
Desired skills includes experience with server virtualization (VIO, HP-UX, VMware), identity management and authentication services and HP blade system administration.
Location: Franklin, WIEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
