Annuity Service Rep II / III

POSITION SERVICE HOURS: 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
DEPARTMENT SERVICE HOURS: 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
BASIC FUNCTION : Primary responsibility is the processing of transactions for deferred and income plan annuity contracts and pension-owned life insurance policies within appropriate processing guidelines. Identifies problems or issues of varying degrees of complexity, researches and evaluates possible solutions using available resources, independently handles all routine casework and processes semi-complex cases with guidance. The incumbent is expected to participate in division projects and/or process improvement opportunities. This position may be filled as an Intermediate or Senior level depending on candidate's experience and skill set.
Additional functions for senior level: Independently resolving and processing complex problems/casework requiring a higher degree of analysis and expertise. May include training/mentoring, project/initiative support, and case and procedure review.
QUALIFICATIONS : _ This position requires the person to be fingerprinted as an associated person of NMIS. _ Candidate must successfully complete and pass any required testing . Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years related operations work experience to include at least 1 year of previous customer service experience. Proficient in written and verbal communication. Solid customer service skills. Proven analytical skills and ability to apply judgment and discretion. Demonstrated computer experience with solid keyboarding skills and proficiency with current software packages.
Additional Qualifications for Senior level: Minimum 3-5 years operations related work experience including at least 2 years of previous customer service skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to mentor/coach others.
