Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required. Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Verifies conformance of finished work piece to drawing specifications. Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Meets production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality. Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement. Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations. Adheres to all factory safety procedures and guidelines. Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner. Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and schematics. Ability to measure accurately using a ruler or tape measure. Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturing environment preferredParticipate in 5S related performance teams. Ability to work independently. Problem-Solving ability. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with high attention to detail and accuracy.
