Summary:
3D printing is a new business venture from Putzmeister with an extensive testing and launch phase.
As Construction Project Manager of 3D concrete printing, you are responsible for the Coordination, Supervision, and Execution of 3D-printing projects.
This includes understanding the legal requirements and building codes in the states we want to test and introduce the equipment.
It is a role with an entrepreneurial aspect and requires hands-on work as well.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Supervise and operate the Putzmeister Karlos 3D printer on job sites, including in varied weather and seasonal conditions Initiating and leading 3D printing construction projects in America On-site supervision as a fully responsible construction manager in America Managing the 3D-printing project team Ensuring the preparation works from design up to the execution phase of the project Time, Material, Budget, and Labor planning Coordination and cooperation with the 3D printing-relevant trades on the construction site Ensuring the permitting of the projects with the local and national authorities Initiating material cooperation, carrying out material qualifications, and ensuring the right quality of materials from the construction site Feedback from the field of Business Development, Product Management, and Engineering Communication with customers and quality assurance in all stages of the project Supervision of slicing and path planning processes Evaluation of new printing materials and other key features Recruiting of new projects Support for KARLOS customers from the preliminary draft through detailed planning to construction site planning Close coordination with the printing team in Germany Working on the first mobile and most modern 3D concrete printer on the market Introduction to machine and job will be in Germany
Qualifications:
Experience in construction projects, mainly housing segment (preferred as project manager, civil engineer) Experience with planning projects - detailed planning up to construction site planning in 3D desirable Further training as a building materials tester would be desirable Experience in 3D construction printing is a plus Self-motivated individual with a problem-solving mentality Very strong communication skills with internals and externals High willingness to travel for printing projects (>50%) Education/Certification/Training:
Degree in Civil / Structural / Architectural Engineering, Construction Management or similar Mandatory safety training (see Total Compliance Management program).
On-the-job training Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, peripheral, and the ability to focus.
Work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
Safety glasses/goggles must be worn at all times while in designated areas of the shop.
